Abstract
As aggression is one of the problems facing athletes, which conflict with the
educational and moral values that are set up for the various sports competitions, which
aims to spread the spirit of love and cooperation among practitioners in order to
reduce aggressive behavior in sports competitions. Based on the above, the study of
personality and its relationship to the dimensions of aggressive behavior has become
an important matter. Personality traits are a sign of the player's behavior during the
competition. Badminton is one of the competitive sports activities that show the
confrontation between the players because of the nature of the game, the rules of play
and the playing field all increase the chances of the emergence of some aggressive
behavior among the players around the competition. Hence, the problem of research is
that many coaches take into account the aggressive behavior of the players before the
game and find ways to reduce this behavior. This requires a good number of athletes
and prepares them to enter the sports races, so the trainer must know the dimensions
of aggressive behavior before the race to contribute that knowledge as much as
possible. The establishment of educational values such as self-confidence and controls
the emotions resulting from loss and maintains balance sports play. The research aims
to identify the relationship between personality traits and the dimensions and
aggressive behavior of badminton players. The researchers used the descriptive
approach, where the research sample reached 25 players and the Freiburg scale was
used for personality and the measure of sports aggression. The researchers concluded
the players of the training center specialized in badminton and social calm. The
convergence of the order of personality traits of arousal, depression, depression,
nervousness and aggression. The players of the specialized training center specialized
in badminton with the possibility of arousal to remove aggressive behavior.
