GIS Application in Road Life Cycle Cost

Abstract

It is so hard to manage wide assets financial data without a professional management system like Life Cycle Cost (LCC) management. It is almost imposable to manage any transportation system without a professional tool like Geographic Information Systems. This study provides a modern way of digital LCC management, using GIS that will help decision makers to make the best decision among more than an alternative. It also represents GIS as an optimum management tool as is it able to create, manage, analysis, and represent the digital inventory. It is suggested a new way for money allocation as each road will be maintained according to its revenues.
