Abstract

The business world is rapidly developing and changing, as it is invaded by the information revolution that led to change the perspective, when the dependence on the traditional tangible elements of production is not enough. the thing that led to the emergence of the intangible resources as an inevitable necessity to adapt to new conditions, and thus to ensure the continuity of the economic activity of the enterprise and continuous adaptation to the surrounding pressures, In this context, knowledge is the lethal weapon of the information and technology revolution, making it the cornerstone of the new economy, which we call the knowledge economy; In addition to being one of the fetching elements to the enterprises for being the source of all the enterprise’s activities and the foundation to ensure its survival.
And from the importance of knowledge; the economic enterprises adopt a managerial methods and practical mechanisms based on knowledge management, and the dependence on information technology and this to facilitate bringing and attracting essential information that ensures the continuation of the enterprise's activity in this volatile and quickly changing environment and at the same pace of acceleration, which characterizes the new information technologies, where the latter would enable the enterprise to identify its position and to be able to adapt constantly with current circumstances.
Ensuring competitive advantage of the enterprise depends on the rational decisions based on the knowledge and the investment in developing it, Note that the business strategies depend on the intelligent use of information and knowledge, or what is known as business intelligence.The latter is inherent in understanding business by analyzing the processes associated with the internal activities of the enterprise, and the vigilance on the external environment using appropriate technology which ensures the access of the appropriate information at the right time, all that supports the effectiveness of the decision-making process.
