Ways of Protection from Financial Crimes in Financial Markets (A Fiqh Study)

Abstract

Financial markets are contemporary tools that are used in economic development all over the world. They are indispensable for any country that would like to gain an economic status. While these markets are means of development for finances, they could also be means for unlawfully controlling money by those who do not fear Allah. Some financial crimes take place in financial markets through manipulating the market, dealing with undisclosed confidential information, and gambling using different ways.

This study touches upon these crimes as well as the methods that Islamic Shari’a has adopted for protection from such crimes.
