Abstract


This study aimed to acknowledge the prevailing mental controlling pattern in learning the basic Swimming Skills and its breathing types for physical education Students in Kadoorie University. It shows the differences in the mental controlling pattern according to the sex of the Students and the type of the course and searching the relation between them. This achieve this the researcher has gone through the descriptive approach using the Scale called (Dian, 2005) to measure the mental controlling pattern regarded as a tool to collect data and information from random Samples for (105) Students (male/female) from Swimming Courses. The result of the study manifests the pattern is the prevailing pattern and mostly used in teaching Swimming that the rate reaches up to (69.5). Then comes the left pattern with percentage (19.11). Then comes the right with (11.4) and the results turned out that the mental controlling pattern in Learning Swimming despite differ between males and females and also doesn’t differs between those of Swimming (1) students and Swimming (2). The results also show the existence of combined relations that has morale between the mental controlling pattern and the sex of the Students and there is no relations between the mental controlling pattern and the type of course. The researcher recommended the recessing of exploiting the mental pattern in Learning Swimming from improving and developing the Students performances of the Students.
