DIANE WAKOSKI AND THE POETRY OF SAVAGERY

Abstract

This paper studies the poetry of the American poetess Diane Wakoski and its elements of violence and grotesque . The paper begins with an introduction in which different treatments of poets to the concept of violence are outlined . This id followed by a close investigation of forms of violence found in Wakoski's poetry and the poetess reaction, treatment and methods of coping with violence in its different forms .
