By the 1990s, Ford's considerable efforts had begun to pay off. The 1970s were a rough decade for Aston Martin. The handsome DB7 debuted mid-decade and was popular with both critics and buyers. The brand was sold by David Brown in 1972, and then once again was passed from owner to owner. Still, a brand new model, the V8 Vantage, was launched in 1977. Still, 2021 Aston Martin DBS subsequent financial trouble at Ford resulted in the sale of Aston Martin in 2007 to a small grouping of investors, such as a couple of Kuwaiti investment companies. Aston Martin's fortunes continued to soar in the 2000s, with the launch of the successful V12 Vanquish, the DB9 and the V8 Vantage. A decade later, Ford Motor Company purchased Aston Martin and invested millions in research and development assured of restoring the brand to its former glory.
Behind the splitters, slopes, and Aeroblade II™ there is a genuine engineering goal that goes far beyond their muscle-bound appearance. The shape is undoubtedly Aston Martin, but not at the behest of the stylist, but stronger than ever, the Aston Martin is stronger, wider and more muscular than ever to cool and manage production. Because the turbulent air flows along the body side behind the C-Pillar, it's controlled and directed by the Aeroblade, operated by a dual diffuser that accelerates the air under the machine. Most of all, the brand new, solid, carbon fiber Aeroblade. This wonderful combination alters stability and performance and boosts driver confidence. While most cars are attempting to reduce lift, the Aeroblade™ and dual diffuser interact to generate a very wide range of real power, and the DBS Superalgebra is fixed to the road using 180kg of aerodynamic pressure. 2021 DBS Superalgebra, the hexagonal grille breathes, combining a sense of boundless power with the most natural beauty, this simultaneously feeds the engine's appetite for oxygen with a powerful 715 horsepower, creating a visual for the entire car.
The DBS Superleggera is our most aerodynamically manufactured car.
Founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford started Aston Martin in 1914. The brand took its name from co-founder Martin and the Aston Clinton Hill Climb, where the duo's Singer cars had competed. The manufacturer's lineup is small and highly specialized; you'll only find sports cars on the Aston Martin roster. The two had seen some success selling Singer racing cars, but wanted to craft their very own vehicles, with an increased exposure of sophistication and refinement. Still, the brand has made an unbelievable name for itself, and is known worldwide as a purveyor of sleek, top-of-the-line, road-hugging machinery. Aston Martin makes cars that place equal emphasis on high-thrill performance and discreet British elegance.
The postwar years saw the brand change hands once again. The marque saw its share of financial difficulties through the'20s and'30s, undergoing numerous changes in ownership. Originally, Aston Martin was known chiefly in racing circles. The first was the DB1 (named after his own initials), introduced in 1948. After purchasing the business in 1947, he set his sights on developing new models. It was soon followed by the DB2 and DB3. Aston Martin was sold to David Brown, an industrialist with a fruitful tractor company. By the 1920s, the brand had made its first appearance overseas, participating in the French Grand Prix; in addition it participated in the Le Mans 24-hour race. Still, it made a name for itself with popular racing cars such as the streamlined 1934 Ulster.
