Dorinda Medley reunited with ex-boyfriend John Mahdessian onscreen during Thursday's episode of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

The former couple of seven years met up at her 55th birthday party, which was held at an old-school restaurant called The Russian Samovar.

Dorinda, who'd earlier described John as 'family' to her, still kept in touch with the dry-cleaning magnate, 54, despite the fact that she'd ended their relationship last fall.

'To be honest with you, John's fun, and I want him part of my life,' she told her sister Melinda Handlowich before the party.

'I love him at some level, and I'll always love him.'

At the restaurant, their affection for one another showed, with John making a touching toast to his onetime love before her RHONY pals.

'I've just gotta say that I've been a very fortunate, blessed person to have Dorinda so close to me in my life for so many years,' John shared, leaning down to kiss her on the cheek. 'We have a special bond, and we'll always have that.'

In a confessional, the birthday girl added, 'I'm proud of John, feeling confident enough to give a toast.

It was very sincere, and it shows that we kind of did it. You know, what I wanted to achieve tonight is evident. So that feels good.'

It was a sweet moment for Dorinda, who had been accused by castmates of being too angry, unwilling to listen, and too much of a drinker all season.
